Deadlines

Each country is requested to submit its’ participation in the Conference to the Secretariat's e-mail, declaring the members of the delegation and the contact person by October 31, 2016.

Participants:

The Ministerial Conference on the Action Plan for ESD in the Mediterranean is expected to include up to approximately 120 official delegates from 45 Countries of the European Union, of the Union of the Mediterranean, of the European Commission, of United Nations organizations and the UNECE Secretariat, intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations, academia and the private sector.

Conference venue

The venue will take place at FILOXENIA CONFERENCE CENTER, at the main hall, named “ZENON KITIEUS”.

For National Delegations that are interested to have bilateral meetings, organizers have made special arrangements for using the ELIAS LOUNGE. This is a hall next to the main hall of the conference and it has been formatted for the needs of bilateral meetings.

A secretariat station with PCs, Printers, Copy Machines, Faxes, Phones and other secretariat needs of the delegations has been arranged, nearby the registration desks.

Translation

The meeting will be facilitated by simultaneous translation in Greek, English, French and Arabic.

All the Delegations will stay at the HILTON PARK HOTEL.

Transport from/to Airport

The legal points of entry to the Republic of Cyprus are the Larnaka International Airport (LCA) and the Pafos International Airport (PFO).

Your transportation to the hotels from/ to the airport can be arranged in three ways:

a)    For the Delegations that have an Embassy in the Republic of Cyprus, transportation can be arranged by your country’s Embassy. It is suggested to conduct your Embassy for arranging transportation.

b)     Use of Taxi: Taxi rank is located outside the arrival gates and the prices  depend from the airport at which you are arriving or departing:

Indicatively:

Larnaka Airport to Nicosia €50

Pafos Airport to Nicosia €100

Accordingly, the same prices apply from

i) Nicosia to Larnaca Airport €50

ii) Nicosia to Pafos Airport €100

Free transportation with buses will be provided from the Hilton Park Hotel to the conference venue and back to the hotel, official dinner and social/cultural event.
